The Anna Seghers School is located in the old town centre of Berlin Adlershof, not far from Dörpfeldstraße.

The building of the Drehpunkt (literally “Pivot Point”) youth centre was built between 1958 and 1960 and has been used as a youth centre and hostel from the very beginning. Now the building is to be completely renovated.

The school complex, built in 1906 by the architect Reinhold Kiehl and listed as a historical monument, had to be adapted to the rapidly growing number of pupils and upgraded for all-day operation.
